We are thrilled to announce that this year’s festival has b een selected by the Maine Brewers Guild as the destination for the Maine Beer Box. This custom built, 12 metre long, refrigerated shipping container, filled with fresh craft beer from breweries across the state of Maine will be a major highlight at the 7th edition of LIBF. The beer box is part of a unique, collaborative project which was launched in 2017 and once audiences have experienced Maine Beer at the festival the box will be loaded up with beer from UK breweries and shipped back to Portland where it will feature at the Guild’s Winter Session Beer Festival in November.
LIBF was set up to primarily support and promote the independent beer industry in the UK and over the years we’ve provided a platform for new and emerging breweries to promote and sell their beer to a knowledgeable and enthusiastic audience. This initiative symbolises our continued support of the industry and we couldn’t be more delighted to host this amazing project.
Full beer listings for the beer box will be announced over the summer. Tickets for this year’s festival are selling fast and we expect many sessions to sell out in advance – so don’t miss out and buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
