10th Leeds International Beer Festival to take place at Kirkstall Abbey

17 Jun 2022

Due to the closure of Leeds Town Hall for major refurbishment works we’re thrilled to announce that this year’s event will take place at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds from 8 – 11 September 2022.

For four days and six sessions, Leeds International Beer Festival will take over the entire abbey, including the incredible church, central cloister, and stunning chapter house where audiences will be able to enjoy a brew in one of the country’s best-preserved Cistercian monasteries. Over the last few months we’ve been reaching out to breweries and we’ll be making line up announcements regularly throughout the Summer. Expect 100’s beer from local legends, the best independent breweries in the UK and an exciting international line up. Once again brewers will be on hand throughout the festival to guide you through their recommendations from experimental releases, and from summery saisons to dark and spicy numbers. There’ll also be dedicated cider space for fans of the big apple!

In addition to the beer programme our street food market will return with a delicious selection of food including veggie and vegan options. Each session will also include live music performances, DJ sets and projections to get everyone in the mood.

Our ever popular family day will also return on Sunday afternoon, the last day of the festival. there’ll be plenty of things to do for the young ones giving parents and carers the chance to enjoy a beer and sample some of the great street food on offer.

This year’s festival will be our biggest to date – with more of everything for audiences to enjoy, however we have had to increase ticket prices a little bit. It’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly but rising material costs and scale of this year’s event have left us with no choice. Although tickets have increased we wanted to let you know there is no booking fee to pay.

See you in September – it’s going to be awesome!
